Roller Derby Teams pay taxes to the government, rink fees, bout bills, hotel fees, gas fees etc. The teams raise money through fundraisers, donations and dues from each skater. It is hard for leagues to grow when they don't have enough money to cover costs. Remember to donate money to your local teams through purchasing merchandise, attending bouts, sponsoring teams, and donating money. I am a firm believer that if you make your morning cup of coffee at home, you have saved at least $3.00 that day to be put to good use. One dollar from you, another from another, next thing you know, your local team has a floor to skate on! I am linking below a team that could use even $1 to help them.
